The literature has since demonstrated safety for select procedures, leading to an increase in day surgery popularity over the last 25 years1. Aesthetic day surgery procedures are widespread across the United States, where the healthcare system allows for practitioners to set up their own surgical facilities. Day surgery has benefits for both patients and providers in terms of convenience and financial burden.
