Recurrent epistaxis due to HHT affects more than 90% of the individuals with no curative options. Purpose built silicone nasal septal splints reduced epistaxis significantly in all patients and the need for blood transfusion and iron supplements. Nasal congestion and crusting were experienced by some patients. This was not troublesome, and these patients preferred the splints rather than epistaxis.
