Seventy-four spontaneously conceived singleton pregnancies in their first trimester were enrolled into this study. Fifty-one of them had Vitamin D deficiency (<20 ng/mL), while 23 pregnancies had Vitamin D levels ≥20 ng/mL. The placental elasticity was measured by the transabdominal Point Shear Wave Elastography (pSWE) method. In each case, the mean of 10 consecutive measurements was accepted as the mean placental elasticity value.
